Argos Vision, Inc. is a privately held medical device startup with its business operations at the EnterpriseWorks Chicago in the University of Illinois at Chicago. The company was founded by two seasoned executives who share the passion for developing innovative solutions to address unmet needs in both consumer markets and medical needs.

Tahua Yang has 30 years managerial and technical experience in the medical device industry. He has been in the R&D executive roles for Global Fortune 500 and startup companies. Tahua was Director of Engineering at CooperVision, VP of Engineering at Amsino Medical Group (in Shanghai, China), Research Fellow at Abbott Diagnostics, and other senior technical roles at Baxter Healthcare. Tahua obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. in Macromolecular Sciences from Case Western Reserve University and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. He has 21 US original patents and 5 Chinese original patents in the medical devices field.

Charlie Chen has over 25 years of managerial and product development experience in the medical and the chemical industries. His latest executive role was Research Fellow in Product Development at CooperVision where Charlie led a team and developed two new successful formulations for silicone hydrogel contact lenses. Prior to this, he had several senior technical roles in PAC Polymers and DuPont. Charlie obtained his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology and M.S. and B.S. from Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China. He has over 40 US patents and majority of them are in the contact lens field.
